You can be assured of Salvation!
“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’‘ – Romans 10:9
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him” – John 3:16, 17
“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” - 1 John 5:11-13
Every Sunday at Word of Life Assembly of God Church in Springfield, Virginia, Pastor Cover at the end of the service will give everyone a chance to ask for the Lord for salvation and to indicate they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior by raising their hand while everyone is praying with closed eyes. After that he asks everyone to repeat this prayer, and we all repeat it aloud together:
Would you ask Jesus to come into your heart and repeat the prayer below out loud?
Prayer for Salvation: The Bible says in Romans 10:9 “That if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our hearts that God has raised him from the dead we shall be saved.” Here are the ABC’s of salvation: A – Admit that we are sinners, B – believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, C – confess our sins to him.
“Dear Jesus, I come to you today and you have promised to receive me. I thank you that you came into the world and lived. You died upon the cross but you rose from the dead. Today you are alive! I believe in you, Jesus. Forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. Give me power to walk in obedience to your word. I make you Lord of my life and want to serve you the rest of my life. Thank you for your salvation you have given me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
