Convoy of Hope Outreach - September 6, 2008 Washington, DC

Convoy of Hope and churches in our area plan to conduct a one-day special community event on September 6, 2008 designed to meet both human and spiritual needs of impoverished families.

Convoy of Hope needs approximately 1,000 local volunteers to serve anywhere from 3,000 – 5,000 guests. Outreaches give hope by providing free groceries, health and dental screenings, free haircuts, games and activities for children of all ages. Connections are established through job fairs, churches, government agencies, and community service organizations.

Opportunities for ongoing service are made possible by giving volunteers a chance to connect with local residents, making a lasting impression on all who participate.
